Indexing Blueberry Recipes 13.01 23:05
Please Just Ignore This Post as I am trying to get another site sorted and using this blog to push it a little.
I have started a website a few months ago Blueberry Recipes and have been driven mad by it and therefore ended up leaving it with little done. So who or what is driving me mad? Google as usual. In sitemaps they tell me that they are not able to access the urls - none of them even though ...
Starbucks Dublin Ireland - Great at last… 12.01 17:57
Great at last Starbucks in Dublin. I am one of the many in the world who like Starbucks coffee, but one of the few in the Irish blog sphere.
Feck them. They just have no idea what a decent coffee tastes like and one of their many problems is that they would rather go around all day complaining - well it does sell better. We here in Ireland on the whole have a bloody easy life - but some won’t...
Monsoon Rathmines 08.01 09:42
Monsoon in Rathmines is an Indian restaurant, and a bloody good one at that. I was there recently and we ate the early bird menu. Now often I think that these menus are going to be substandard, but not here, not at all. The food was good, large enough portions, and tasted like I would expect a good Indian restaurant to.
They have a website and all details of booking, menu and wine list are on t...
O’Connell Street Dublin 25.12 17:13
O’Connell Street Dublin Christmas day 2007.
Located in the heart of Dublin city, O’Connell Street forms part of a grand thoroughfare created in the 18th century that runs through the centre of the capital, comprising Carlisle Bridge (now O’Connell Bridge), Westmoreland Street, College Green and Dame Street, terminating at City Hall and Dublin Castle. Situated just north of the River Liffey, the s...
Central Bank Dame Street Dublin 20.12 18:06
The Central Bank in Dublin is a real ugly building. It dominates Dame Street, but it is good for a couple of things. One it is an easy place to meet at, for some who don’t know Dublin this is one place that is easy to find, see, and get back to. Another good thing is that it can provide some shelter in one of the sumer down pours, however the wind in winter whips around it making it feel a bi...
Arnotts Dublin 18.12 17:33
Arnotts Dublin is one of my favorite stores in Dublin. But not just now before Christmas. Arnotts have the best sales that I have ever seen and they start normally just after xmas - that is when I am there - and very early in the morning due to my hating crowds.
Still I do still get amazed at how many of these large businesses in Ireland don’t have their own web site. However being a bit better...
Dixons Liffey Valley Dublin 17.12 21:55
Dixons Liffey Valley Dublin have restored my faith in electrical outlets. After another visit to PC World yesterday where they could not tell me if software I wanted would work on vista, I took the plunge and went into the main part of Liffey Valley shopping centre. It wasn’t too bad, I was there early about 11am, parking no problem much to my surprise.
I knew what I wanted and looked in a coupl...
PC World Liffey Valley Dublin 14.12 16:37
PC World Liffey Valley Dublin. There is not a store in Dublin that can drive me as nuts as PC World. Customer service is almost nonexistent. Even asking someone to help as they race by is not met with a Yes - most often “I’m doing something, I’ll be just a minute.” And then you never see them again.
Crazy I think, if they could just manage to work at it a bit better I would end up buying more...
Glendalough Ireland 13.12 09:52
I discovered Glendalough a few ago, well not really
discovered as I was taken there by friends. The drive to Glendalough is about one hour from Dublin. There are two main routes to get there, one by heading south out of Dublin towards Bray and just following the signs after you pass the Bray junction, the other much more interesting
route is by Sally Gap. The Sally Gap route goes over the top o...
Taste of India Dublin 12.12 11:48
Taste of India was my latest Indian experience in Dublin. I seem to be doing the rounds of all the different Indian restaurants at the moment. Was it good, yes on a few counts.
I noticed first sitting down how comfortable the chairs were, not something that automaticly comes to mind, but theey are great. The service was good and the food was good. I measure all Indian restaurants on the ones t...
Canal Bank Cafe Ballsbridge 08.12 10:34
The Canal Bank Cafe is one of those places that is just great for Saturday or Sunday breakfast or lunch. You know the kind of place were service is great, the food is as good as you
would expect for the location and the look of the building from the ourside.
Much as I try I cannot find anything wrong with the Canal Bank, location perfect, sit at one of the many windows with your weekend papers an...
Yamamori George St Dublin - Bad After Taste 06.12 14:41
I left Yamamori with a bad taste in my mouth on Sunday night. The food was great, even outstanding, the service was fast and attentive, the bill pissed me off. Not the simple cost of the food, no I know what to expect eating out, and the cost of the food in Yamamori is not over the top, but they ADD a service charge on the bill.
10% is added to my bil, what the hell. You really know how to pis...
Ballyfermot Dublin 05.12 20:16
The name comes from the Gaelic Baile Diarmuid, after a Gaelic chieftain, Dermot Mac Giolla Mocholmog. His descendants were later called FitzDermot after the Norman style. The Mac Giolla Mocholmog were chieftains of the cantred of Ui Dunchada located in the south west Dublin and north west Wicklow area. The Mac Giolla Mocholmog family also held sway in and around the Danish city of Dublin. The turn...
